Where has the time gone? It is Pageant time again and actually as I write, we only have a week and a few days left of the Pageant. It is huge for Nauvoo. So many people here milling around the streets, bagpipe bands playing, pictures being taken everywhere and an atmosphere of excitement. People coming from all over the world. I ran into a Jardine here who plays the part of Orson Pratt. Of course, he is related to Richard in someway, they share the same great grandfather……………but genetically a little different!
He must be 6’5” but very, very nice.
So Nauvoo Does have it’s perks. The locals are a little put out because you have to actually stop at a corner and may have to wait to let another car pass. But overall it has to be a big boom for business. In fact, in this little town of Nauvoo I think I have the best hairdresser I have ever had. Her name is Margaret and she is a fine Catholic. I am pretty sure that I am helping her to have the best summer business wise in five years! Being in the zone leadership, I visit all the new missionaries. I tell them about Margaret. So When Mom comes to town, I take her to Margaret’s immediately. Mom needs me at home.
Thanks Margaret for helping me to “TRY” to look my best. And remember to ALWAYS stop at the corners, Pageant in town or not!
