That’s what it is here right now. Beautiful. After a hard day yesterday, Richard and I got on our bikes and off we went. Just a few blocks from our house is nothing but land. Rolling fields, green and yellow, beautiful, huge trees, sky overhead, and fresh, fresh air in our noses and on our faces!
It’s hard to see in these pictures how green and rolling the little hills are! All of the sides of the road in these states are mowed, not a weed in sight. There are probably more riding mowers and motorcycles in this state than there are cars.
You can see that nothing is trashy or old cars laying out in the fields. Everything is manicured here.
There are grape vines everywhere right now. Remember Grape Stomp!
So we went riding out in the country and rode through the Catholic cemetery. Remember I said that I loved to ride through cemeteries, I came by that genetically.
One of the twins that Joseph and Emma Smith took in when she lost her twins.
Richard was going to fix the bikes that we picked up at the DI, but that would have cost as much as just buying a new bike. So, here we have Daisy and Mongoose!
Meet my new girl! She’s a pretty sweet ride, but I simply must find a way to cushion this seat a little! Her name is JJ to remind me of all my children.! (Not that they are a pain in the butt!!!!!)
This here is Mongoose, to remind Richard of all his children!!!!! (Notice Richard has a padded seat!) Tee Hee!. He rides it to work everyday. What a man. He may weigh all of 150 lbs. soak and wet by the time he leaves here. My dress alone (soak and wet) will weigh 150 by the time I leave here, not to mention what fills out my dress.
Richard rides to work everyday in a shirt and tie, until the weather changes. We have gone back down to a one car family!!!!! Shoot, darned! So grateful he is willing to ride his bike, of course, going to work is all down hill. It’s getting back up to the house that is a little bit harder. These old geezers around here can pass us coming and going. Everyone is riding double on these motorcycles and no one wears a helmet. Jonathan would be so jealous, I have seen some pretty mature people with bugs in their teeth!
